HAND PAINTED DAZEY ORIGINALS FOR YOUR WALLS
For over 10 years the computer has been my medium and clothing my canvas. I became so comfortable with it, the thought of trying something new and being a "beginner" again terrified me. Coming from a very creative family can sometimes make approaching art even more intimidating as the expectations are greater! My grandmother was an amazing artist and someone who always inspired me creatively.
When we started making murals for Dazey I realized it wasn't as scary as I thought, and I took to it naturally. After years of unfounded fear I decided to give one of my goals a go, painting on canvas. Fast forward 6 months later and I'M HOOKED! It's become such a creative outlet and also a great form on self care. While I'd love to fill all the walls at the Penthouse, I figure I'd free some space and sell them here to our community. ORIGINAL ARTWORK BY MY GRANDMOTHER IN OUR PALM SPRINGS HOUSE:
FORCE FOR GOOD LOOKBOOK VIDEO
See our new collection in action
The force for good is all about taking ACTION. Making moves towards a better future for yourself, the planet, and the people in it. Embracing your real, raw, and undeniable power and using it for the greater GOOD. Standing with the sisterhood and being one of the women who will change the world. This video perfectly captures that mood. Now, LET'S DO THE DAMN DREAM LADIES!
We couldn't be more excited to partner with the amazing female videographer Margaret, AKA @aprettycoolgirl on our lookbook video! We were already using her gorgeous studio, @aprettycoolspace, for our photoshoot set so it made so much sense to have her do a video for our lookbook while we were at it.
Per classic Dani Dazey style, we asked her the day before if she was able to do it LOL. Margaret was a great sport and pulled it off! She filmed these fun video clips in between shots. Her and Naohmi worked seamlessly to pull off an easy and solid photo/video shoot. Since we launch the collections a few days after we get the photos, the big lookbook videos usually take a few weeks to a month to come out. So here is it, and well worth the wait!

Dazey Desert House Yard Makeover Phase 1
Our desert home yard makeover with Box Hill
This cheery orange mid century home is our beloved Palm Springs pad, the Dazey Desert House. It's vintage vibes and bright colors, very on brand for Dazey, sold me about a year and a half ago. While we try to stay here as much as we can, for the most part we rent her out on Airbnb and for Photoshoots. We decked out the interior right away getting features in magazines such as Domino, Dwell, and even a 10-page spread in Palm Springs Life magazine! The outside however remained pretty bare bones aside from the pre-existing cactus garden. That is until I met Elizabeth of Shop Box Hill! An award winning exterior designer and owner of Shop Box Hill.
I had been wanting to do something with the yard ever since we got it, but didn't know where to start. Since we rent the space out on the reg we knew we needed furniture that could stand up to the influx of guests as well as the extreme heat and wind the desert is subject to. User in exterior design expert Elizabeth! She happened to wander into our Dazey fashion show at Alt Summit and stopped me the next day during the conference to chat. She said she was very inspired by Dazey and wanted to find a way to collaborate. At the time she had no idea I had a mid century home in Palm Springs that needed a yard revamp! It felt as if the stars has aligned and brought us together!
After the conference we began planning and she helped me make selects from her gorgeous website shopboxhill.com. She has SO many amazing pieces and generally works with hotels so they are all extremely sturdy and commercial grade. Once the pieces began to come in we planned a weekend where her and her husband could come out and give Phillip and I a hand with install, placement, and overall decorating. Everything was totally transformed from basically dead space to what feels like an extension of the home. It seems like our square footage has doubled! From the killer cabana to the fire-pit that was literally MADE to match our orange mid century time capsule. We even added a few extra special details like a mural on the center concrete circle and painted our plain circle stepping stones bright orange to match the facade. (Painted with Dunn Edwards exterior paint, the best!) Elizabeth even brought a beautiful piece from her personal collection, the vintage fiberglass chair set.
Also stay tuned for pt.2 of our backyard revamp with Box Hill. We plan on turning the side yard into an outdoor kitchen, shower, and hot tub area!
Scroll down below to see our magical oasis. Elizabeth is not only an incredible designer but also curates the coolest pieces in her shop that can make any yard feel like a cozy piece of art. Here are some quick links to where you can shop the exact pieces you see.
Be sure to check out the Dazey LA IGTV for a full video with footage of before, during, and after!

Dazeywood Penthouse Tour - Dazey Den Interiors
OUR NEW APARTMENT MAKEOVER AND LAUNCH OF DAZEY DEN, MY INTERIOR DESIGN COMPANY
Who says you can pursue all your passions? One of the reasons I started Dazey was to get the chance to use all of my creative talents. When I designed for corporate companies I was stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. Since the launch of Dazey I've been able to not only do t-shirt design but also textile design, fashion design, photography, social media marketing, and now interior design! As a creative I see every single one of these things being an important facet to my design aesthetic and brand. My passion for color, abstract art, and vintage doesn't have to end at graphic tees.
It originally all started with Biz Babez, the boutique female co-working space I co-founded about 2 years ago. For the first time ever I had an inspiring space and a budget to decorate. It turned out way cooler than I could have ever imagined and even got a feature on my fav interior blog The Jungalow. About 6 months later I ended up buying my first home, Dazey Desert House, a Mid Century Modern beauty in Palm Springs that we use as a vacation home and rent out for photoshoots and Airbnb. We went all out and created a really special place and people took notice. We got featured on Domino Magazine, Dwell, Conde Naste Traveler, and Palm Springs Life. It ended up being a way better investment than we thought it was going to be and generates a decent passive income. After a year of visiting our home in the desert it started to make our small LA apartment feel lack luster. We were craving a space to entertain friends and spend time outdoors. With photoshoots being a decent money marker at our PS property we thought it would be really cool to do the same with a full-time place in LA. We searched high and low for the right spot with little luck, until we came upon this stunner, The Dazeywood Penthouse, which hadn't even been fully listed yet. Better yet the landlord was on board for us doing shoots in the space! A 2,000 square feet penthouse of a Spanish style triplex located in beautiful Beachwood Canyon, right under the Hollywood Sign (Hence Dazeywood). Complete with a giant living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 3 patios. It was honestly more space than what we really needed, but it was comparably priced to all the spaces half the size that we looked at. Plus we figured we would be renting it out for shoots sometimes and it's good to have variety. Well, fast forward to a few months and right as we try to start renting out the place for shoots our neighbors swiftly shut it down. It was a pretty hard blow that Phillip and I were not expecting as we took on the significantly higher rent. But we had the space of our dreams fully decked out, so we decided we were determined to make this work. I've decided to look on the bright side and use this space as my springboard to finally launch my interior design career. Something I've always wanted to do but thought I couldn't add into my life along with Dazey LA. But you know what, I'M GOING FOR IT!
I would like to introduce to you Dazey Den (haha yes same name as the home goods section of our site), my new interior design business. With my now 3 different spaces I felt prepared to put together a solid portfolio and launch DAZEYDEN.COM. I am officially open for biz and will be taking on select projects. Contact me via my new site for a quote!
Below is our full home tour complete with "boring befores" and "beautiful afters". I wanted this space to be totally different than the past few and I have been obsessed with 80s/90s color and design in all aspects of my life lately. I hope you enjoy the tour and my thought process behind each room. You can see our full video of the home makeover on our IGTV right HERE. LIVING ROOM - ART DECO MEETS MOROCCAN
This living room was what sold us on this place hands down. With it's 15 foot vaulted ceilings, original wood flooring, city views, and original Spanish tile fireplace that is to die for. We painted the living room a much brighter white with accent shades of Dunn Edwards pink and sage. It truly transformed the space and brought so much more light in!
This room as seriously MASSIVE and we filled it with luxurious velvet furniture all from Joybird, including this 15 foot velvet modular couch that is our pride and joy. While the lighting that came with the space was charming and did match the Spanish-style interior, we opted to swap out the sconces with these wonderfully chunky art deco beauties from Hudson Valley Lighting. They just added so much more pizzaz to the place! I'm a huge fan of pillows and we needed some really cute ones to break up the worlds biggest couch. I loved the idea of having a mix of vintage textile pillows from DK Renewl and then some more velvet soft-shaped beauties from Adaptions NY. I framed our "beYOUtiful" Dazey design by uploading the file directly to Art To Frames and was super affordable and arrived just perfect. And last but not least we got this amazing art piece custom made to match our color scheme from our friends at Bend Goods.
I love mixing in vintage pieces along with the new stuff to give a space interest. Over the past few months I've been carefully curating some beautiful vintage finds that include this 90's circle swivel coffee table, Moroccan rug, mid century bookshelf, silk screened orchid art, vintage pottery, and my fav the 80's hand chair I snagged for $100 at the Rose Bowl Flea!
DREAMY DINING ROOM
We were not expecting the dining room to be the place we spend most of our time, but with the french doors and natural light, we hardly leave it! I opted to paint this room all white since it has a curved ceiling. I loved the idea of it being simple with a few statement pieces. These 80's brass-framed art pieces that rest on the credenza were $5 each from St.Vincents thrift. Such a come up! I also found this beautiful vase from a vintage shop and filled it with left over pompas grass we used on a Dazey shoot. The stunning chandelier from Hudson Valley is a serious show stopper. It fills in the seamless wall space perfectly. We got this space to entertain so we knew a large table was a must. The starburst leg detail on his Joybird table was just too adorable to pass up. We paried with these unexpected Joybird velvet accent chairs. We were worried at first they would be too big for dining chairs, but now we LOVE how comfy they are and the fact that we can work in them all day long.
CUTEST KITCHEN
It's truly amazing what a fresh coat of paint and a lighting fixture can do. By making those small changes and adding an island in the awkward negative space we transformed this kitchen. Since the floor already had quirky pink tile, we chose to lean into this color scheme. As a renter we can't go all-out in renovating, but seriously people a lighting and color change speaks volumes. Paint "Pale Jasper" from Dunn Edwards and pink bar stools from Bend Goods. Phillip finally has a decent kitchen to cook us dinner in and it has inspired many a great meal! I am one lucky gal to land a sudo chef as my S.O.
BEDROOM BLISS
Doesn't get more "morning sunshine" than this bright and cheery room! We took a tip from our desert house on this one and went for a brightly colored midcentury look. The dot mural behind the bed was surprisingly easy! We nailed a string to the center of the wall with a pencil tied to the end and traced the outline. Then we did a smooth line around the edges and filled in. We didn't want to overcrowd the dot with art, but try intersecting the shelves with the side of the "sun" we added a little more visual interest. We also did a fun accent wall and painted our built in shelfs yellow to match. Paint is called "Deserted Path" by Dunn Edwards. And can we talk for a sec about this sheet set!? I kept seeing Kip & Co all over insta and knew we needed it. It's super hard finding luxury sheets that are also in bright colors, and that's exactly what they do. We mixed up the hues of yellow with almond, cognac, and banana shades. By doing that we are able to get away with having a lot of yellows together that may not match perfectly, but look intentionally different. Now lets talk hardware! By adding in the beautiful brass curtain rods and light fixture we have made this room look 1000Xs better than the before!
DANI'S OFFICE
We end up working from home most of the time because we never want to leave haha. This is the first time we've both gotten our own office and it's been really nice. Since it's my own space all bets were off and I could full maximalist with it! This room is made up of a few pieces we had at out last place and a blue/pink gallery wall I've been working on for some time. This Matisse lithograph is my fav art I own, got it for a fraction of the price at an auction house. That helped dictate the colors of this room, light blue and mauve. With two daybeds side-by-side this space is great for having meetings or just working on my laptop. I also have a small desk and clothing rack that look onto the patio that are not pictured that you can see on our IGTV!\
PHILLIP'S OFFCIE
My boy loves a good green shade and he's the one that keeps all the plants alive in our relationship, so we went full atrium meets mad-men man-cave. We wanted this room to be distinctly more masculine than the rest, but still soft and relaxing. This is where our guests will stay when visiting since the Joybird couch is also a pullout bed. The sage accent wall is complete with two art pieces I made myself on a heavy duty raw-edge paper, framed by my favorite Art To Frames. Phillip loves hiding out here for a nap or to get some serious work done!THE PINK PATIO
I've officially dubbed this place #dazeypinkpatio because it's too damn cute to not have it's own hashtag. Having outdoor space has truly been transformative for us. She has come a long way since we first found this place! A fresh coast of outdoor Pale Jasper Dunn paint and gorgeous pink Bend Goods outdoor/indoor furniture brought this outdoor space back to life. Also want to give a major shout out to my girls at Ponderosa Cactus who outfitted our place and specifically the Pink patio with beautiful cacti and lush plants. They are an awesome small sister-owned biz is Highland Park and everyone should support them. We love enjoying a drink on this double patio with a clear view of the Hollywood Sign. Friends and visitors always freak when they see the view!
Thanks so much for taking the tour! Don't forget to see the full video of our original walk through and full makeover on IGTV right HERE.
Create & Cultivate x Dazey LA
Welcome to the Self Care Club babes!
A community that roots for progress over perfection, prioritizes self love, and celebrates every little success you’ve achieved. Self care is all about confidently putting YOU first, without hesitation or guilt. It’s about learning how to nurture yourself, so that you can show up for others and give what's best of you, not what’s left of you. Self care looks different for everyone and we are so happy to have celebrated that at the Self Care Summit. Whether for you it means chilling out with your favorite CBD product, giving yourself time let go through journaling, a classic face mask minute, or even picking up a new hobby like ukulele, we are so happy that women are starting to shamelessly take care of themselves more and more.
Behind the Design
For the inaugural Self Care Summit, Dazey teamed up with boss babe Jaclyn Johnson of Create & Cultivate, and her incredible team to bring you an exclusive, limited edition design that embodies the community we want to create--- the Self Care Club. This design combines the boldness of mechanic's logo and the natural softness of pastels and cursive, so that you can feel both when you wear it. It was printed in puff ink on exclusive and limited edition pastel pink coveralls that are made of a sleek stretch fabric, which give these pieces the perfect feminine edge. We want our babes to harness both their strong and feminine traits confidently in these coveralls, because who says you have to be one or the other to be a badass boss?! GIRL, you can be BOTH! We want this design to remind you that YES you're a boss lady who gets sh*t done AND you're also one who takes the time to give back to herself with some bonafide self care.
Dazey outfitted the entire C&C crew with this design through limited edition Self Care coveralls and classic Dazey tees (which truthfully weren't part of the plan but ended up being a hit!). Every babe looked SO GOOD in them, we are so thrilled to release this NEW Dazey design to the rest of our community! For a *very* limited time, you can join the club and sport the saying too! The Self Care Club coveralls, Dazey tee, and pin are now available on the site!
Another huge part of this wonderful collab was creating our first ever hand-painted mural of a Dazey design to welcome attendees to the Zen Den & marketplace floor. This mural is where this entire project started, back when Dani and Kelsea dreamed it up during an afternoon coffee date months ago. The idea to combine a Dazey saying, paint, and florals, nonetheless EPIC florals from the bouquet babe herself, was a dream we couldn't pass up. From concept to creation, this entire project and summit was an honor to be a part of and exactly what we needed to push through the heaviest of retrogrades and find self care again.
Check out the IGTV to get the full behind the scenes on design, mural, and the full summit!
Summit Takeaways
Of course, we left this summit with so many gems brought to us by real life self care queens. They created conversations around not only the importance of self care, but also how to move into confidence, empower yourself through social media, and practice self love daily. Read on for some key takeaways from the jam-packed day. *Quotes brought by Create & Cultivate*
Tess Holiday
If you don't follow Tess already, please do your self a favor and do it! This babe is a trailblazer of body diversity and positivity, paving the way of what a true confident queen looks like. She started the #effyourbeautystandards movement and created a space for others to own and harness their beauty in every shape and form. Some quotes from the conference:
On learning to love herself...
“I can take up as much space I want—I shouldn’t be ashamed.”
On the power of social media...
“I think social media can be a really powerful tool. People can create this space and show the representation that wasn't there before.”
“People think that they know you based on social media. They might know bits of you. We don’t have it figured out. We’re just doing our best.”
On representation....
“You can chase your dreams and do whatever you want to do and you're not limited just because you haven't seen anyone else doing what you want to do.”
“And that’s what saves lives—feeling less alone.”
KOYA WEBB
We discovered Koya in front of our mural and were immediately struck by her positive energy & the light she brought to the space. It was all dance parties and laughter the entire time she was there! If you don't know Koya yet, she is a wellness guru specializing in yoga, meditation, and holistic health. She recently released her new book “Let Your Fears Make You Fierce” which is an inspiring guide about dismantling your doubts and coming into your full potential. Basically the ultimate guide to confidence and self love that anyone can benefit from! Here are some takeaways from her panel at the summit:
On the power of embracing fear...
“Face everything and rise.”
On reprioritizing self-care...
“We forget that the most important person to nurture is ourselves.”
“If we nurture ourselves first and foremost, we will have the most energy to nurture others.”
And last but not least, a takeaway from yours truly. After a longwinded retrograde, this summit could not have come at a better time. Self care is something I teach but don’t always make time to practice. Being surrounded by so many other entrepreneurial, creative, business women at that summit showed me how dedicated we can be to work or others, but not ourselves. It's time we take back our power by taking time for self care. Thank you to all the people who made this collab possible! Snag your very own limited edition Self Care Club coveralls or tee today while preorders are open babes!

One thing that immediately stands out about Kelsea is her genuine eagerness to create community and carry out the mantra “empowered women, empower women” in her work. After just a few DMs and a fun coffee date, this gal went from a being super cool floral artist on my screen to a true badass business woman pitching the idea for a Dazey x East Olivia collab at the Create & Cultivate Self Care Summit. Confidence Collection Lookbook Video
Confidence is an everyday choice.
Allowing yourself to choose self confidence over self consciousness is the ultimate power move you can ever make. It opens opportunity for you to show up and glow up as the highest version of yourself. Let's get the confidence party started babes. Ditch those comparisons, shake off that fear, and let's celebrate the fierce females we are. Who's ready to own it and shine?
What does it mean to own your confidence?
It's ditching comparisons, self-brought mental barriers, and showing up for yourself. It's resisting the temptation to get lost in a mindless digital scroll and acting on what's BEST for you. It's learning to be present and allowing yourself to simply be yourself, without hesitation or fear.
The dance party theme of this lookbook has become such a key component in the Confidence Collection because dancing is the ultimate confidence builder. Everybody gets nervous to dance. It brings on anxiety, self consciousness and fear of judgement. With that, it also brings on the challenge to overcome all of those self-brought negative emotions and embrace yourself fully. Sure, you may look silly and have the wackiest dance moves but if you OWN IT with confidence, you'll own any dance floor.
For the video, we captured a group of nine incredible queens who have never met, come into confidence together during a dance party. We started the video off with where we all were mentally before the shoot started--- isolated and worried about what we would look like on camera. It flows into the transition of girls realizing that they have to choice to stop comparing. As soon as Charlotte Sands sings "I love you, but I love myself" in her confidence anthem "I Love You, But", the group of girls are reminded that she's right. We should ditch that disempowering mindset and put ourselves first. It's not selfish to embrace who you are and your love for yourself. It's a move of confidence.
Join the conversation on confidence today at @dazey_la on Instagram and check out other's stories on the #chooseconfidence hashtag.
Special thanks to all the incredible people involved in making this gloomy Sunday afternoon an epic Sunday to remember. Cheers!
